While Alexander decided to take a six year long break from electronic dance-music, Mattias kept on going.

For nearly a decade he released quality techno & other electronic dance-music and worked with a great deal of well-respected labels and artists. In 2010 he teamed up with techno-hero Glenn Wilson to create throbbing music and also launch the label project Tonal Path. He also collaborated with other producers from all around the world and he managed to re-introduce Alexander Johansson to the techno scene, they’re now as strong as ever in their partnership.

While constantly implementing new ideas and still keeping his unique signature sound, Mattias is always interested to work in several directions within the dance-music’s deep rabbit hole. From starting out in the 90s delivering the sound of authentic Swedish-techno, his musical journey took him through lots of changes musically.
Mattias salvaged everything from hard techno to classic Detroit inspired beats, down to a minimalistic style approach as well as dark industrial tones and rich
deep dubby flavours. Working against the trends, but taking pieces of what he likes from it Mattias will carry on producing his unique vibes.

Bactee & Tito’s music is hard to classify in correct kind of electronic music and this is their biggest advantage! The sounds are deep and funky but always stay away from standards and focus and innovation and experimentation.

In the middle of 2007 Bactee & Tito presented their music live to the big public and got very good reactions. On top of playing live, they are also co-workers, remarkers and remixers and collaborate with many international artists and labels.

The rhythm of his father’s records was the background of his childhood; then things got serious when he found himself in front of his first console and an irrepressible musical passion took over. His orientation was progressive, as interpreted by the Tuscan movement, which took of in the Nineties. Public acclaim came in 1994, when he won an international DJ competition organized by a well-known club in Udine, which, given the success of the young DJ, asked him to continue to perform. Around that time he became a member of the staff of Radio SuperNetwork, at first as a mixing desk technician and then with his own program in which he proposed the latest innovations of his genre. Meanwhile he continued to perform in clubs all over Friuli, keeping in close contact with the public.

In 1996 he left the radio and joined the famous “Prima Scelta” Agency for DJs in Padua, managed by Donatello, the well-known PR of the Syncopate Party ; he began collaborating with the MMADESS Agency and his range of action extended over the entire Triveneto area.

Experience led his style to evolve, from progressive to electronic, until he arrived at a minimal/techno sound, without however being chained to a particular genre, demonstrating rather a vocation for free and open musical inspiration, fed always and in any case by experimentation.

His first release was Dark Frequency (Mantra Vibes) in 2005, in collaboration with the DJ Mreux.

His first productions took him to ambient – experimental. His evolution with musical projects took him towards minimal, a style that he adopted and investigated with the past knowledge. His music is a combination of minimal and techno with strong basslines and dark impressions.

Inspired by the ‘harder look’ of the 90′s he wants to play a personal style, based on the new breed of techno morphing into a slower, drifting and groove based sound.

He is working together with artists like Remute, Michael Schwarz and Marco Danneberg, also new projects are forthcoming throughout this year on Brickwork (his own label started at march 2010) with remixes scheduled for J. David, Chris Cals/Colombia, Knobs/Italy, Adriano Giliberti/Italy and GO!DIVA from the Netherlands.

In september 2010 he started his own radioshow ‘Brickwork.FM’ on www.fnoob.com. Monthly he presents upcomers and well known dj’s who will show us new hot stuff for the dancefloor.
His tracks are played & supported by artists like Audio Injection, Bas Mooey, Dj Hi-Shock, Chris Finke, Gary Beck, Acid Circus, Mark Antonio, Remute, Oliver Koop, Nihad Tule, Luke Creed and Speedy J.

Studio work came later for 88uw and it was not until 2005 that he started teaching himself music production. His first release was in 2010 on Parallel 125 and in a very short space of time he has made a significant impact on the techno scene in Germany and abroad. He releases regularly on renowned labels including the legendary Synewave, Gynoid Audio, Slap Jaxx and IF? Records. His own tracks, and remixes for the likes of Damon Wild, BCR Boys and Niereich are known for their unique, dark and pumping sounds.
