REVIEW

Dave Tarrida, a man who needs no introductions, joins forces with Gynoid Audio once again for the Damage Ep. The original brings us funk driven bass lines pushing and pulling under haunting 'bell' like stabs, all with a twist of Dave's special blend of glitch.

On the remixes we have Funk D'Void, Beroshima and Angel Alanis.

Sir Void (as he should be known) takes us way back to the days of Warehouse parties with Rave bass, big stabs and fills. Reach for the lasers.

Beroshima turns up the heat with a percussion heavy take that drops into a stellar break of stuttered synths a la 'The Bellvue Years'.

Rounding out this well rounded release is Chicago veteran Angel Alanis, who, without losing any of the semi-creepy atmosphere of the original pulls it all back to his House roots and lays down the funk with a fat bass line and jazzed up percussion.

  4. Great release. Love the original & its discordant vibes. Funk D’Void do the original much justice with a big sound take. Beroshima puts a bit more groove in and Alanis takes it deep. Perfect to have different versions for different situations all true to the original. Full support!
