REVIEW

The master-blaster of bona fide techno is back. Advanced Human has a rollicking new EP that's made waves even before its release date, and it's not hard to see (or hear) why!

'Planetary Grid System' is purist, unadulterated, flanged-out, metallic-tinged and kick-driven techno that rekindles memories of classic Luke Slater and Fumiya Tanaka at their greatest... all with the A.H. hallmark touch, of course.

Then 'Into The Night' strips back the menace and proves just how fluid this man can be in swinging between styles. While maintaining a certain Advanced Human tech panache, this is bliss that beats an ethereal path.

To place a final assured exclamation mark on proceedings comes 'Deep Earth' - a gritty, yet cruisy and funky ride that demonstrates again the talent at work here - also evidenced by the plaudits (below). More, please.

  3. Wow. This is dark and throbbing and uplifting at the same time. Very diverse EP, three tracks for three phases of a long night. Hard to choose my favourite. I dig “Deep Earth” most, but will probably play “Planetary Grid System” the most, since it’s crying out for Peak time play, which is my usual playtime.
