The Translucent Opaque series design is to deploy interesting V/A releases with music by two fresh, new sprouting artists and one established veteran per release. For its third edition it's all about a moody but lush and very melodic Scandinavian vibe.
Emerging Swede Niclas Erlandson opens the EP with "42", a classic stab-based purist track, crowned with some arpeggios. The arpeggio goes wilder and more intense in the second track by Finish producer Barfunkel. The focus on analog strings leads to the obvious title of "The String track". And lastly Danish born Advanced Human twists the mood to the jacking side of things with "Reflection". Minimalistic drum works, big dramatic stabs and ever changing melodic content are the ideas here.
